Effective Monday, August 30, 2021: By State Mandate, masks are required inside the library for all people ages 2 years and up.
Due to the rising number of cases of COVID-19 and the surge in hospitalizations due to the delta variant, the Governor of Illinois announced Thursday that a statewide indoor mask mandate will go into effect beginning on Monday, August 30. All people ages 2+, whether or not they are vaccinated or have a negative COVID-19 test result, will be required to wear a face mask in indoor public spaces.
Therefore, beginning on Monday, all patrons ages 2 and up will be REQUIRED to wear masks when inside the library.
