AAPLD Virtual Storytime
On Wednesday, March 25, 2020 starting at 10am, Miss Alexa will lead another virtual storytime. This will be broadcast on AAPLD’s Facebook Live.* Did you catch her storytime this morning? It will still be up for the time being and you may view it right here.
We have a “new” Librarian here at AAPLD too. You may recognize Miss Jen from her time in the Adult and Youth Departments at AAPLD in the past. She has come back to work at our library and BONUS: she plays ukulele in her storytimes. Her pre-recorded videos will be posted throughout the week.
On Friday, March 27, 2020 starting at 10am, Miss Kimberly will lead her usual Baby Storytime for children from ages 0-2 years old.
*This is due to copyright law. The publishing companies are allowing emergency virtual storytimes, but they all have their own unique copyright rules during this time.*
Other Virtual Fun Stuff
Josh Gad, voice actor of Frozen’s Olaf, has been reading bedtime stories to children from Twitter. His start time is not set in stone but is always in the evening, between 6-9pm. Check it out here.
Brightly Storytime is another awesome storytime resource on YouTube. You can choose from individual stories or 40 minute packs of multiple stories for various age groups.
Children (or grown-ups) stuck at home may also ride Disneyworld rides virtually!
