We are excited to announce that AAPLD is joining in on celebrating National Pollinator Week, June 19-25, in a big way that can get the whole community involved! Of course, we are always here to provide resources for information about bees, butterflies and all of the many pollinators that we love. Now, this week, we will have special book displays along with free milkweed seed packets for patrons to take home with them to plant! Why milkweed seeds? It is the only plant that the Monarch caterpillar eats! We hope our patrons enjoy growing these special butterfly gardens and help the monarch butterfly population.
Read more here about National Pollinator Week and how to protect our pollinators! And stop by the Youth Services department to find our pollinator display and get milkweed seeds while they last!
