Making at the Library and at Home

This past weekend the Library hosted its first ever Maker Fair. We had 425 people join us to learn, celebrate, and experience all the cool technologies from crafts to 3D printing to the Silhouette Cameo that the Library can offer. We hope that everyone that came learned something new and will be interested enough to to find out more and maybe even attend an upcoming program to explore their skills as a maker.

Maybe you are wondering what is making? Who can be a maker? Making can be anything involving tech, sewing, art, engineering, science, and most importantly creating! The best thing is that anyone can be a maker. If you enjoyed the Fair or want to know more about making to try something at home, check out the following list of books.

We are going to have lots of programs in October and November to learn more about a lot of the stations we had at the Fair. Check out the calendar and see what programs happening in October and November!
