The first session of LEGO WeDo Buddies ended this week. The children built and coded LEGO robots like an alligator whose mouth opened and closed and a lion who sat up and laid back down. They learned about motors, pulleys, gears, and levers through simple robotics.
Pairs of children worked with one of our amazing Summer VolunTeens for three weeks making 2 different robots a week.
The second session begins on July 6 and runs till July 20. The open sessions are at 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM (grades 1-3) and 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM (grades 1-8) for Algonquin Card Holders and the program is held over at our Eastgate location. You can sign-up here.
