Are the rising Covid-19 numbers making you a little nervous to visit public places, or is the cold weather keeping you at home? Perhaps you just don’t have time to get to the Library to browse for books–especially if you are bringing young children along. Have no fear, the Library is here for you!
We are happy to pull books, movies, and other materials for you to pick up through the drive-up window–simply fill out our Materials Pickup Request. You can request up to ten individual titles, book bundles on a certain topic for children, or simply ask the Library to choose something like, “ten great books for preschoolers.” Fun fact: we LOVE doing these open-ended requests for patrons, because sometimes we get to sneak some of our favorites into the pile! Most requests are completed and ready for pickup within 24 hours. Any items requested that are unavailable will automatically be put on hold for you. *Large requests, such as multiple items per family member, may need to be picked up in the building.*
Do you need some help deciding what to read next? Well, we have the solution for that as well! Our Recommend Me a Book Form is for both adults and children. Fill out the form and a staff member will send you your own personalized short list of recommendations on what to read next.
Are you a teacher who needs materials pulled for a unit in your classroom? We’ve got you covered! Fill out our Teacher Materials Request Form and request up to 15 items on a certain topic. We will pull the materials for you by the date requested and hold them for five days. Pickup at the YS desk.
