Perhaps you've heard the saying that reading takes you everywhere- just read and let your mind travel to faraway lands or see from a new perspective offered in a story. Our Summer Reading Program, adorably and aptly themed "Reading Takes You Everywhere" will offer you a challenge to travel to many places- in your imagination AND around town.
This will be a Summer Reading adventure like no other! In between chapters, you can participate in travel-themed programs at the library, enjoy storytimes and events at offsite locations and go on a scavenger hunt around Algonquin. These fun experiences will expand your horizons plus give you chances to enter drawings and spin the game wheel to collect prizes. Finish the reading log to earn a T-shirt and book of your choice to keep!
Bring your Algonquin library card to sign-up at the Youth Services desk starting June 1. The program goes until July 31, so check the schedule of events for all the exciting activities going on all summer!
